1What is the most beautiful waterfall in Morocco?
Ouzoud Falls are the most spectacular with a 110m drop over 3 tiers, Barbary macaques and rainbows. Akchour is also a must-see for its turquoise water and the Bridge of God.
2Can you swim in the waterfalls?
Yes, swimming is possible at Ouzoud, Akchour, Setti Fatma and Meski. The water is cool (15-20°C). Avoid swimming after heavy rains and respect the authorized areas.
3Are national parks paid?
Some like Talassemtane (20 DH) or Friouato (60 DH with guide) are paid. Toubkal, Ifrane and Souss-Massa are free but local guides may be required.
4Where to see monkeys in Morocco?
Barbary macaques are easily seen in the cedar forest of Azrou (Ifrane), at Ouzoud Falls, and in Talassemtane National Park. Never feed them!
5What is the best season for waterfalls?
Spring (March-May) offers maximum flow after snowmelt. Autumn (September-November) is ideal to avoid crowds. Some waterfalls are dry in summer.
6Can you observe the bald ibis?
Yes, in Souss-Massa National Park between Agadir and Sidi Ifni. The best period is February-July (nesting). It is one of the rarest birds in the world.
