Histoire

The Souss was the cradle of Berber resistance and the Saadian dynasties. The 1960 earthquake razed Agadir, killing 15,000 people. The city was rebuilt with modern, safe urban planning.

Géographie

Between the Anti-Atlas and the Atlantic, the Souss valley is a vast irrigated agricultural plain. The semi-arid climate is tempered by the ocean, offering 300 days of sunshine per year and fine sandy beaches.
