Technical inspection is compulsory for vehicles more than five years old and must be renewed every year (specific frequencies apply to commercial vehicles). It is carried out in licensed inspection centres, on presentation of the registration document and insurance certificate.

Check that the invoiced work matches the quote, ask for the replaced parts back if you wish, and take a test drive before leaving. Keep the invoice: it serves as a warranty for the repairs carried out.
